Empower-Ring
Chunky, empowering ring, hand forged from sheet silver using traditional silversmithing techniques. Made for the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council Awards, this ring is a personal response to the challenges of the pandemic, hand forged amid lockdown and home schooling.
Taking inspiration from articulated creatures and medieval armour, the fused sections create a personal defensive structure, while the spikes and texture offer sensory feedback to promote mindfulness and bring the wearer back to the present.
The ring is made be worn on the index finger, with a cut-out section for comfort, and designed to make the wearer feel confident and empowered.
The ring is a size T, but due to its width could fit sizes S,T or U (see T&C’s on my website for finger sizing info).
